How to crop an Aadhaar card PDF online
- Open the studio and select Aadhaar Card. Choose the Aadhaar preset so the tool uses the appropriate document layout.
- Upload your PDF or image. Use the upload button or drop the file into the upload area. For a password-protected PDF, enter the correct password when prompted.
- Review the source page and automatic crop. Check the selected page and use Auto Detect when needed. Confirm that the card edges, photo, text and QR code are included.
- Check both sides. Review the front and back separately. If the file contains multiple pages, choose the page containing the relevant side.
- Place the cards on the sheet. Use Crop & Place on A4 Sheet, then choose the paper size and layout you need.
- Print or download. Review the working sheet before using the print button or downloading a PDF or PNG.
Zoom in and adjust the Aadhaar card crop
Click a placed card to open its recrop popup. Move the mouse over the area you want to inspect and use the mouse wheel to zoom in or out. Zoom follows the pointer, making it easier to check small text and card corners. The + and − buttons are another way to change magnification.
Enable Pan ON and drag the PDF to bring an edge into view. You can also use Alt + drag or the middle mouse button to pan. With Pan OFF, drag the crop corners or edge handles to adjust the selection; dragging inside the selection moves the crop. Choose Fit page to return to the full source view.
Zoom changes the preview magnification. It does not change the card's physical print size. Keep all required details inside the crop and apply the change after checking the preview.
Print Aadhaar front and back on A4 or 4×6 paper
A4: Choose A4 when printing on a standard document sheet. Check the arrangement of the front and back, margins and cutting borders in the working preview. Card resize controls let you set the dimensions you need.
4×6: Select 4×6 in the paper settings for a smaller photo-paper sheet. Review the updated layout and confirm that your printer is loaded with matching paper. Changing the paper preset may also change the card arrangement.
For either size, set the printer's paper size to match the exported sheet. Use Actual size or 100% scaling when you want the dimensions shown in the studio; Fit to page can resize the output. Check orientation and print a trial sheet before printing several copies. The PDF export is useful when printing later or on another computer.
Why is the crop blurry or missing an edge?
Use the original PDF when available. A screenshot or compressed messaging image may have less detail, and extra zoom cannot recover pixels that are missing from the source. If text looks unclear, try a higher-resolution source instead of increasing brightness or contrast excessively.
If automatic detection selects the wrong region, confirm the Aadhaar preset and source page, then adjust the crop manually. For a sideways document, rotate the source before checking the edges again. Leave the QR code and its surrounding clear border intact.
Keep document details accurate
Crop and print preparation should preserve the source document's text, photo and QR code. The tool prepares a printable layout; it does not issue an Aadhaar card or produce an officially issued PVC card. After working on a shared computer, remove downloaded copies you no longer need.
