Free Online Text Tools: Word Counter, Case Converter and Text Cleaner
Editing a paragraph, cleaning a copied list or checking an assignment's word count? AIDocToolHub Text Studio brings word counting, case conversion and text cleanup into one browser workspace. Paste your text into the input, choose an action and review the result before copying or downloading it.
How to use the online text tools
- Open Text Studio and type or paste your text into the input panel. You can also open a supported .txt, .csv or .json file.
- Check the live word and character counters as you edit.
- Choose the case conversion, cleaning or formatting action you need.
- Read the output to check that names, numbers and punctuation are still correct.
- Copy the result, download a .txt file or use the print option. Use Output as Next Input when you want to apply another action.
Live word counter and character counter
A word counter is useful for essays, applications, short descriptions and blog drafts. A character counter helps when a form or message has a length limit. The tool updates its counts while you edit, so you can shorten or expand a draft without copying it between separate websites.
Different platforms may count words, punctuation, emoji or line breaks differently. If you are working against a strict limit, check the final text in the destination form too.
Convert uppercase, lowercase, title case and sentence case
Use uppercase for labels, lowercase to fix a paragraph typed with Caps Lock, title case for headings, or sentence case for a more readable draft. For example, converting WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE to lowercase produces welcome to our website.
Automatic case conversion does not understand every proper name or abbreviation. Review initials, brand names and acronyms after converting. Title case is a convenient starting point rather than a substitute for your preferred editorial style.
Clean copied text and remove duplicate lines
Copied lists often contain repeated entries or blank lines. Use the duplicate-line remover to tidy a list, then remove unnecessary empty lines. Sort lines A to Z or Z to A when you want an ordered list; reverse lines when you need the opposite sequence.
Keep a copy of the original when line order matters. Sorting and removing duplicates can change the meaning of instructions or records, so review the result before replacing your source. These actions work on text lines; they do not interpret a spreadsheet's columns or merge related records.
Find and replace repeated text
Find and replace saves time when a word, label or phrase appears several times. Enter the text you want to find and its replacement, apply the action and check the output. A short search term can also occur inside another word, so inspect the affected passages carefully.
Generate slugs and remove HTML tags
A URL slug turns a heading into a compact text fragment suitable for a page address. Review the generated slug, keep it descriptive and choose a stable name before publishing. Generating a slug does not publish a page or guarantee a search ranking.
Strip HTML removes tags when you want plain text from markup. Check spacing and line breaks in the output. This cleanup action is not an HTML security sanitizer and should not be used to make untrusted markup safe to execute.
Format JSON, encode URLs and convert Base64
JSON Format makes valid JSON easier to read; JSON Minify removes formatting whitespace for a compact result. If formatting fails, check quotes, commas and brackets in the source. A .csv file opened in the tool remains text rather than a spreadsheet table.
URL Encode and URL Decode convert special characters to or from percent-encoded text. Base64 Encode and Base64 Decode convert between text and its encoded representation. Base64 is encoding, not encryption. Do not use it to protect passwords or private information.
Copy, download and print the result
Use Copy Converted Result after checking the output. Download as .txt when you want a plain-text file, or choose Print text for a paper copy. Clipboard access can depend on browser permissions; if copying fails, select the output and copy it manually.
